About the Project

The Full Haunt Project is drawn from writings and memoirs forged in the dark.

Years spent as body removal specialists for funeral homes and the Coroner's Office of Toronto left their mark. Hands-on removal and transfer of the departed. Thousands of deaths; murders, suicides, overdoses, diseases, natural causes were absorbed through sight, smell, sound, silence, and touch.

ZIVINIM is not a story invented. It is something closer to the mythology of the reaper, but not in the traditional sense.

Two entities, male and female, bound by what they carried together. Hooded. Watching. Waiting.

They do not always come gently.
Sometimes they warn. Sometimes they provoke. Sometimes they entice.
Then they take what remains to wherever it belongs,
or nowhere at all.

The songs are not performances.
They are residual.

The Full Haunt Project is 13 tracks. That is all there will be.

The words and the music met the way some things in life just do. They begged to be heard. Like ghosts wailing in a room most people walk past. We heard them. We mixed them until the sound matched what was already in our heads.

That is why there are two dark ghosts. That is why there is ZIVINIM. That is why there are only 13 songs, and why Nevermore is the first thing you hear.

We are Derek and Janel, and we are ZIVINIM. We wrote the lyrics, we mixed the music, we are the two in the hoods.

Some of the early videos on TikTok feature Iniquity. She is not a musician in ZIVINIM. She was our lure, our dancer, and our enticer if you will, who caught the attention of many and helped stop the scroll dead for a moment so that you might listen. She is no longer an active part of ZIVINIM and we would like to extend our deepest gratitude.

What comes next is us.

We are 100% independent. DJs. Songwriters. And death — that part never left the room.

Unforgiven is the only song we ever gave to the industry. It lives out there on its own. Everything else stays here.
